Everything Gallen shows you

Each number is worked out on your phone from your own device's data, and set against your own recent days.

Sleep

How you slept, in plain words

Gallen finds your main sleep from the night's heart rate and motion. Naps count too, and lower the next night's need.

  • Time asleep, wake-ups and an estimate of light, deep and REM sleep
  • Sleep need from yesterday's strain, recent shortfall and naps
  • Consistency of your bed and wake times, and trends by week and month
Gallen's Sleep screen with sample data: 7h 59m asleep, an estimate of stages, sleep need and consistency.

Recovery

A 0 to 100 read on how ready you are

Built from overnight heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep and breathing, each compared with your own last 30 days.

  • Contributors shown in plain numbers, so you can see what moved it
  • Appears after four nights while Gallen learns your baseline
  • A personal trend, not a medical measurement

Strain and workouts

Your day's load, on Gallen's own 0 to 21 scale

Strain adds up the minutes your heart spent in each zone across the day. Logged strength work gets its own credit.

  • Heart-rate zones, steps and stress through the day
  • Log a workout by hand, or accept a "looks like a workout" card
  • Suggestions only suggest: nothing is added without you

Healthspan trend

A direction of travel over months

Seven everyday habits are scored over the last 30 days and compared with the 30 before: sleep time, regularity, resting heart rate, HRV, steps, active minutes and strength days.

  • Shows improving, steady or slipping
  • Needs 14 days and at least four habits it can judge
  • Not a biological age, and not a prediction

Journal and patterns

Notice what tends to go with a good morning

Tick a few tags each morning, like alcohol, a late meal or a stressful day, and add a note if you like.

  • Patterns shows how each tag has gone with next-morning recovery, HRV and resting heart rate
  • Each pattern says how strong the evidence is
  • Tags with too few mornings are left out, not guessed

Android extras

Widgets, a smart alarm and a bedtime nudge

Small helpers that run on the phone and send nothing anywhere.

  • Home-screen widgets with your latest scores
  • A smart alarm that may ring up to 45 minutes early at a lighter moment; your set alarm always rings
  • A bedtime nudge timed from tonight's sleep need, and a Sunday recap
Android only

Optional AI

A morning briefing and a coach to ask

Both work offline from plain rules. Turn on AI insights and a model writes them instead, from a compact daily summary.

  • Off by default; the settings screen shows exactly what would be sent
  • Never raw samples, journal notes, your name or location
  • Every number in a reply is checked against your stored data, with the offline text as a fallback

Your copy

Back up, export and take it with you

Your data is yours to keep. Gallen can also write to Android Health Connect if you allow it; it never reads other apps' data.

  • Encrypted backup and restore
  • CSV export, and a full data file with everything Gallen stored
  • With an account: export it as one file, or delete it and its server data
