Getting started
When can I get Gallen?
There is no public release yet. Android comes first and iOS later. Join the waitlist and we will email you once.
Does it cost anything?
The app has no paywall today. [Placeholder: pricing not decided]
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works on the phone without one. An account only matters if you want your daily numbers on the web.
Devices
Which devices does it work with?
A supported strap and a supported ring. [Placeholder: device list, pending legal review]
Can I keep using my device's own app?
A strap pairs with one phone app at a time, and Gallen clears history from the strap once stored. Pairing a ring installs Gallen's own key, so its original app cannot connect until the ring is reset.
Why are there no scores yet?
Recovery needs four nights of data. Keep the device charged and open Gallen once in the morning.
Scores
Are these the official scores of my device's maker?
No. They are Gallen's own formulas, written down in full. They will not match another app exactly.
Is Gallen a medical device?
No. The scores are estimates for personal interest, not for diagnosis or treatment.
Privacy and data
Does my raw data leave the phone?
No. Only derived daily numbers can sync, and only if you turn sync on.
What does the AI see?
If you turn AI insights on: a compact daily summary of scores and tag names, plus what you type to the coach. Never raw samples, notes or your name.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to remove phone data. Delete your account to remove server data, all at once.
